Interactive Reconstruction of Progressive Addition Lenses

Optical parameters such as the refractive power specify the behavior of lenses. Based on this, parametric surfaces can be computed, which for progressive addition lenses leads to an optimization problem. To make lenses suitable for ray tracing, a triangulated mesh representation is preferred. This can be achieved by taking D3D11's hardware tessellation into account.
The overall goal is to provide a triangulation of lenses with predefined properties in real-time by harnessing capabilities of GPUs.
