Example-Based Interactive Mesh Posing

The deformation of artificial characters such that they match a desired pose is a central problem in the modeling and animation domain. Normally, this time consuming task has to be performed by experienced artists. The goal of this thesis is to implement an example based and interactive mesh posing framework. Therefore, the approach proposed by Robert W. Sumner, Matthias Zwicker, Craig Gotsman and Jovan Popović in their paper "Mesh-Based Inverse Kinematics" should be implemented. By using an intuitive click-and-drag modeling metaphor, this method allows the fast and easy creation of new poses.


Requirements:

C++, Interests in numeric optimization, GP (FM) is a plus
